Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nothing Gold Can Stay
By Robert Frost
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower.
But only so for an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
Subject: This poem is about the nature and its beauty.
Theme: The message of this poem is that beauty and all the things good do not last long even in nature.
Personal Respose
This poem is an amazing piece of work that captures the beauty of poetry in eight beautifully constructed sentences. This poem delivers a sad yet true message that over time beauty and good can fade even from nature (which is what the poem is refering to). My favourite line of the poem is: So dawn goes to day. The beauty of a sunrise quickly melts to day. It only keeps the beautiful gold shine for a little while before it gives way to day. Nothing good and beautiful can last. Nothing gold can stay.
A New Day
Don't left grief blind you.
Don't let pain surround you.
Let love blome.
Never give way to gloom.
Let the world shine through.
Don't abandone what is true.
With a new dawn comes a new day.
Fate always has her way.
So make way for a new day.
